Breaded chicken cutlets are a staple in an Italian-American household, but they are normally fried in oil till it is golden brown. While they are sweet and tasty, recreating this recipe using no oil, in an air fryer is very feasible. This is a foundational recipe for air-fried chicken cutlets. You can apply these in your sandwiches or on salads, or to make delicious dishes such as chicken parmigiana, without the hodgepodge of regular frying.
Prepare a breading position by spilling your egg whites into one shallow bowl, and the breadcrumbs into an additional shallow bowl.
Place a portion of wax paper or a plate to the side to put your breaded chicken on.
Set every portion of chicken into the egg white, and then into the breadcrumbs to coat wholly.
Sprinkle the bottom of your air fryer with olive oil spray, then put in half of the chicken pieces (hingeing on the capacity of your air fryer). I do 3 at a time.
Sprinkle the coats of the chicken with olive oil spray.
Air fry at 400 for 15 minutes. At the 7 minute mark, toss the chicken and sprinkle the tops with more olive oil spray.
Displace the cooked chicken and set it aside on a plate, and replicate the process for the remaining portions.
